Helping patients to move around the Hospice safely

Helping patients to move around safely and comfortably is really important to the Hospice,
and so several of our staff members have undertaken specialist Ergocoach training in which they learnt techniques and skills to help patients move.

Diligent, a moving and handling training company, provided training to 8 staff members, who can then share their knowledge with the rest of the team. This picture shows the staff members being trained in the correct use of hoists, which can be used to help patients in and out of bed.
