A unique multi terrain 5 mile sunset running event encompassing Edinburgh's tidal Cramond Island.

A chance to run a mile out to sea and to take in some great views across the River Forth towards Edinburgh and the Forth Bridges.

The run will be a clearly marked and marshaled undulating mixed terrain route. Starting by the Boardwalk Beach Club cafe, the run takes in a short scenic off road loop in the field behind the Roman Fort and Cramond Kirk before heading down towards the island crossing.

It is around a mile from the Promenade to the island and there is a short hill climb across the island before circumnavigating the beach around the back of the island. Returning along the same route to the finishline.

The terrain will be a mix of tarmac, grass, single track path, uneven tarmac, sandy beach and rocky surfaces. Depending on weather conditions puddles will be expected on the causeway.
