St Columba’s Hospice is an independent charity, providing services to our patients and their families free of charge across Edinburgh and the Lothians. Whilst we receive some government funding, 75% of our £8.6 million running costs must be raised each year to ensure we can continue to provide our care to those who need our support now and for years to come.
Our local community is vital in helping us to achieve this mission and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity that the people from Edinburgh and the Lothians show towards us. We encourage and thank you for fundraising, donating and spreading the word about St Columba’s Hospice.
There are many ways to donate to St Columba’s Hospice, either gifting a one-off donation or perhaps becoming a Friend of The Hospice and making a regular gift every month. You can get involved by taking part in our weekly prize draw, donating twice a year to our annual appeals in the summer and Christmas or perhaps you might like a collecting box for in your own home for your loose change.
It’s not all about the pennies, remember you can donate your unwanted items any of our 6 shops across the city, or donate your time to volunteer at the Hospice or at any of our fundraising events and if you ever want to donate a prize for an auction, raffle or tombola we would be delighted.
From sports challenges, dinners, quizzes, art shows and walks, we invite you to take part in one of St Columba’s Hospice’s organised events or, if you want to organise your own challenge or event and our fundraising team will be there to guide and support you along the way.
