St Columba’s Hospice Events
One of the many ways to support St Columba’s Hospice is to get involved in fundraising events. These events raise money towards the more than £3 million that we need to pay for the work of the Hospice. Your participation means that we can help more than 400 patients a year in our In-Patient unit, make nearly 4,000 visits to patients in their own homes through the Community Palliative Care team, and welcome more than 1,300 visitors to our Hospice Day Centre.
Go to our ‘Diary of Events’ to check out what is coming up.
Or look at our sponsorship pages for inspiration or to sponsor a supporter.
Organise Your Own Event
If you don’t fancy any of our organised events, why don’t you organise your own on behalf of the Hospice. We’ll support you in any way we can. Just give us a call or email to chat through your ideas.
Go to ‘Plan Your Own Event’ for lots of inspired ideas.
Sports Challenges
There are plenty of public sporting events held throughout Scotland, the UK, and indeed the world, for which you could be sponsored on behalf of St Columba’s Hospice. Such events include, the Albert Bartlett Edinburgh Marathon and Hairy Haggis Team Relay, the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, the Inverness Half Marathon, the Glasgow Half Marathon, Walk for Scotland, the Christmas Walk and lots more.
Alternatively, you could come up with your own sports challenge, whether it is cycling from one end of the country to the other, or abseiling from the Forth Road Bridge, we are always here to help with fundraising tips.
For ideas on challenges in which everyone, no matter their level of fitness, can take part email the Fundraising Team or call Maggie on 0131 551 7731 Don’t forget that we now have our Facebook page too! It is a great way to keep up-to-date with all of the events run by the Hospice and our supporters.
