Events in our Diary…

Teams of cyclists will set of from the Falkirk wheel to cycle to either Edinburgh or Glasgow using the canal towpaths. There will be a raffle and lots of other events along the way. To find out more information or to enter a team click here.

Wits Dinner - Thrusday 22nd April 2010

We have been raising money for the Hospice through the Wits Dinner for 30 years and to celebrate this we are holding a "Wittiest Wit of Wits" competition and are delighted that three of our Wit of Wit finalists are going to enthral us with their latest amusing anecdotes and funny stories - Eric Davidson, Rod McCowan and Jim Robertson!

Tickets are £75.00 each and can be bought individually or as tables for 8,10 or 12. The ticket price includes a drinks reception on arrival, delicious food and the ever important ingredient lots of laughter.

Bark in the Park - Sunday 9th May 2010

The event for all dog lovers. Help raise valuable funds for St Columba's by taking your pooch for a sponsored walk around Inverleith Park, Edinburgh. Individual walks are available from 10.00 am to 12 noon or join us for the group walk at 11.30 am. Entry is just £5.00 per dog.

Burns Supper 22nd January 2010

Many thanks to all the guests, speakers, sponsors and supporters of the 2010 Burns Supper. Around 650 guests turned out at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange to enjoy a celebration of the life and times of our fabourite Bard, Robert Burns. We are delighted to let everyone know that we have raised the fantastic sum of £17,000 for the Hospice.

Fun Run 6th September 2009

From walking bananas to Victorian ladies over 150 supporters joined us to run or walked the route around Victoria Park, Edinburgh. We are delighted to announce that the Fun Run has raised more than £7,000 for St Columba's Hospice. Many thanks to everyone who turned up on the day, who worked to raise sponsorship for us and who volunteered to help make the event such a success. Thanks also to our sponsor:

Race the Runway Thursday 24^th September

In association with BAA Edinburgh. This was an unmissable chance for 48 competitors to ‘Race the Runway’ along with a truly exclusive look behind the scenes at Edinburgh Airport. The event raised approximately £16,000.00 to be split between St Columba's and the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospices. With our special thanks to Gordon Dewar and his colleagues at Edinburgh Airport for a wonderful day and all their hard work.
