Each shop has a manager but is dependent on a group of committed and enthusiastic volunteers for its day-to-day operation. The types of tasks volunteers typically carry out include:
Customer Liaison – assisting customers in making purchases
Till Operation
Sorting and pricing donations
Display merchandising within the shop
Volunteers typically offer their time for a minimum of 3 hours, frequently more, on a weekly basis.
Volunteers are essential to the shops to help raise funds to support the Hospice. Our existing volunteers find it an enjoyable, sociable and rewarding experience at the same time as raising funds for a very worthwhile cause.
