All of the professionals who make up the clinical team at St Columba's Hospice have one purpose - to improve the quality of life of the patients in their care, while extending that care and support to their relatives. Hospice services include in-patient care in a purpose-built 30-bed unit, together with community and day care. The Community Palliative Care Team provides a specialist advice and support service for as many as 150 patients at any one time, working closely with the Primary Care Teams within the City of Edinburgh.
