Doors Open Day 2019

28th September 2019- 11.00-15.00

Doors Open Days is Scotland’s largest free festival that celebrates heritage and the built environment. It offers free access to over a thousand venues across the country throughout September, every year.

The aim of Doors Open Days is to ensure that Scotland’s built heritage, new and old, is made accessible to people living and visiting the country on weekends in September.

We’re delighted to be part of the 30th anniversary this September and excited to welcome people from across Edinburgh and the Lothians into the Hospice. You can come along to find out more about our services, chat to staff and volunteers and of course, have a look around our wonderful building which looks out across the Firth of Forth.

St Columba’s Hospice Art Exhibition

St Columba’s Hospice Education Centre

Friday 25 October 2pm – 7pm

Saturday 26 October 11am – 4pm

Sunday 27 October 11am – 4pm

Help us to bring art into the heart of the Hospice.

We’d love you to join us for this year’s fundraising exhibition featuring a unique selection of contemporary painting, sculpture and prints from some of Scotland’s most established and emerging talents.
We’ll also be displaying artwork from patients and their families and you can join one of our sample art therapy sessions. If you’re feeling creative why not bring a sketch book, pick up a coffee from our community café and take in the stunning views from the terrace overlooking the Forth.
The value of the arts is fundamental to people’s wellbeing at the end of life and whether you buy a masterpiece or create your own you will be helping us to include the arts in our building, treatment and care.
