Together, let’s make this a Summer to Remember!

This summer, Pamela is making every moment count, with the people she loves the most. With your support, we can ensure that Pamela, and everyone else in our community facing the reality of a terminal illness, has choices when it comes to their care and receives the very best quality palliative care possible.

Supporting our Summer to Remember Appeal Couldn’t be easier

You can make a difference this summer by donating to St Columba’s Hospice. With your gift, we can help families in our community create special memories and make the most of the time they have together, no matter how short. When you make a donation, you’ll have the option to dedicate your bunting to a loved one with a special message.

Simply click on the button below to make your dedication. Your bunting will be on display at our Summer to Remember event in Starbank Park on 18 August (1pm-3pm). We hope you will join us with your family and friends (dogs welcome!) to celebrate our loved ones and enjoy an afternoon of music, entertainment and refreshments with glorious views across the Firth of Forth.

About Pamela

Pamela Curran was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and receives regular visits from our community team who support her to live independently, in her own home, surrounded by her loved ones. Pamela said:

“Terminal illness can affect anyone at any time and can have a huge impact on your family ad friends too. The team at the Hospice can’t cure me, but they are helping me to achieve the things I want to and have taught me life is about living as well as possible. Every day is a bonus for me and the support my family and I have received helps us make the most of our time together, creating special memories. I want my grandson to always remember the fun times. For me, that’s what the summer is all about.”

Click here to support our Summer to Remember Appeal help us reach more people like Pamela so we can deliver our care and support when it is needed most.

With your help we can continue to extend our reach across Edinburgh and the Lothians. As well as receiving expert nursing and medical care, the individuals and families we support benefit from counselling and bereavement services and tailored packages of support that suit their needs.

Your support will help us reach even more families and help them make the most of the time they have together.

Did you know you can now also add a memory and picture to our interactive map online? Simply visit www.lightupamemory.com to add a personalised marker to a location anywhere in the world that reminds you of a loved one. Browse other people’s beautiful memories and invite family and friends to view yours and add their own.
